Nature says beauty is not all in life.....
We human beings are always competing trying to climb over one another. Always trying to prove that we are worthier than the other. We often compare our physical looks to that of others and feel insecure. Criticize and comment about the physical looks of people. Now, lets think for a moment how much does this really matter?
Do we want to be recognized for our inner worth or the temporary external beauty? . Old wrinkles spare none. If you are recognized by what you actually are you will carry that satisfaction for life but if your recognized only for your beauty, the joy will last for a short time.
Last week as i watered the plants on my terrace, i noticed something very surprising. [This also made the straight line on my lips turn into a curve 😊]
We have a couple of strawberry plants, a few varieties of the China rose or Hibiscus and a few other shrubs on our terrace neatly arranged in huge pots.
As I sat on the small brick bench and observed a strawberry flower a couple of tiny, happy ants walked out of the flower. i thought nothing until I observed a beautiful, pink Hibiscus flower.
Below the Hibiscus plant were a few flowers that had withered away as they failed to undergo pollination.
A small, plain, white strawberry flower manages to attract insects for pollination and bears red, plump fruits. but, a beautiful flower like the Hibiscus fails to do the same. It never bears sweet, juicy fruits.
If seen from a scientific view this may not seem to be that logical, but if we see it with a philosophical approach nature is giving us a wonderful message. You need not be merely attractive physically to attract people towards you. Just like how the plain strawberry flower manages to attract insects due to its sweet nectar, we too have the ability to make people like us with a sweet nature.
